A Wildflower Elopement in Crested Butte | Colorado Elopement Photographer
Crested Butte in the summer is a magical place and the perfect landscape for a beautiful, sacred elopement experience. There are no shortage of stunning outdoor spaces in Crested Butte and it’s why this mountain town is, in my opinion, one of the best places to elope in Colorado (or even the United States!).
A Magical Wildflower Elopement in Crested Butte
A short hike took us to a stunning vantage point surrounded by yellow and purple wildflowers. Together, the groom and I walked ahead so the bride could follow shortly behind, ensuring they might see one another for the first time on that awe-inspiring mountainside (they got ready together separately).
On a slope of riotous wildflowers, this darling couple exchanged vows as the dawn sky lightened overhead. Choosing a weekday and waking before the sun had crested the surrounding mountains ensured the moment remained reverent and uncluttered, leaving room for laughter, tears, and the simple rite of two people choosing one another in a place that felt like its own private cathedral.
Leave No Trace during your Crested Butte Elopement
Don’t forget to leave no trace! Please respect these awe-inspiring, natural spaces. Stick to trails and don’t trample the wildflowers. Or pick them! Keep them pristine so they can be appreciated by people for many, many, MANY years to come.
