The Best Colorado Wedding Venues

In a state like Colorado, there’s no shortage of beautiful wedding venues…

As a wedding photographer living and working in Colorado for the last 9 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working at so many wonderful venues. From Aspen to Buena Vista, Denver to Colorado Springs, and everywhere in between—if you’re in search of your perfect Colorado wedding venue, you have ample to choose from. It can probably even be a little daunting. So as a wedding professional, I’ve put together some of my favorite wedding venues from all over the state.

Surf Hotel in Buena Vista

Enter the Surf Hotel & Chateau. This stunning venue is the perfect spot for a Colorado wedding. Get ready in their luxurious rooms or chateaus, wander the aspen-lined courtyard for portraits, throw a spectacular party in their ballroom, and—within steps of the building—take in views of the Collegiate Peaks for a breathtaking backdrop to your photos. It’s also the perfect base for a destination wedding. All your visitors can have a wonderful, adventurous time taking in Buena Vista with plenty of things to do like hiking, rafting, and exploring.

Capacity: Anywhere from 30 guests to 250 guests depending on time of year and location within the hotel (private dining room to full hotel buyout).

One of the loveliest Colorado Front Range farm wedding venues, Boulder Flower Farm is an intimate, dreamy location for a couple’s wedding day. A large, lovely house sits on the premises, where you can get ready with your people the morning of your big day. A beautiful, bountiful tree stands just outside the house, a perfect backdrop for your ceremony. There’s no shortage of room on the lawn for your reception setup and your guests to take in the gorgeous scenery. And of course, at the right time of year, Boulder Flower Farm has a plethora of lovely flowers, providing even more beauty all around you.

Blanc in Denver

Blanc Denver Wedding Venue

Blanc is a stunning venue space in the neighborhood with so much character yet just as much room to make it into one’s own vision for their wedding day. Exposed brick, white walls, and a wonderfully industrial feel make this such a unique and beautiful place for a wedding and reception. The venue has it all with a great patio space as well and a separate little building for more room for cocktail tables and a bar. You can’t go wrong with having your special day at Blanc in the RiNo Arts District of Denver.

Capacity: Up to 150 guests

The Lyons Farmette is truly one of the best wedding venues in Colorado. With its beautiful, tall cottonwoods, a river winding through, a small family of farm animals, and a lovely flower garden, this property is a breathtaking oasis 17 miles from Boulder. For a long time, it was a primarily outdoor wedding venue but in the last few years, a beautiful barn has been added to the property to allow for indoor space if need be. Pictured is a little airstream on the property for as a rustic dressing suite. There’s also a farmhouse on site for getting ready. The Lyons Farmette has it all.
